Ma thèse en 180 secondes (MT180)-A REGAL finalist

The “Ma thèse en 180 secondes” competition demands a high level of communication skills, as students must summarize their thesis in just three minutes, making their topic clear, accessible, and compelling. Each university in Quebec invites its students to present their thesis in their department or faculty first, followed by a university-wide final to crown the grand prize winner.

This year, Sarah Boukhames, a doctoral student in engineering and a member of REGAL, won the final at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC)! She creatively explained her research on finding ways to utilize bauxite, a byproduct of aluminum production. Congratulations!

The next step? The Canadian national final of Ma thèse en 180 secondes, which will take place in Trois-Rivières on May 16, as part of the Acfas Congress. Good luck!
