Symposium de microscopie en matériaux et métallurgie

The Québec Network for Electron Microscopy of Materials (RQMÉM) is organizing a symposium on materials and metallurgy microscopy on October 19, 2026, at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). REGAL members Mohammad Jahazi (ÉTS) and Raynald Gauvin (McGill) are co-organizing the event.

The call for submissions is open until September 15.

The morning session will feature workshops on various materials characterization techniques, including a hands-on workshop where participants can analyze their own samples. The afternoon will include presentations on electron microscopy applications and/or the instruments made available through the RQMÉM. Prizes will be awarded for student presentations, and the day will conclude with a networking cocktail reception. Further details are to come; click here for more information.
